Tamil Nadu: 3 lakh ration card applicants to get benefits from August | Chennai News, the vie

CHENNAI: Around three lakh people who had applied for ration cards since May 10, can collect essential provisions from the first week of August, a release from the state government said here on Sunday.
“The state government is printing the new ration cards. The government is making technical arrangements to provide essentials for these applicants from their allotted ration shops from August 1,” the release further added.
It also asked the cardholders who are eligible for Covid-19 relief to collect it before July 31.
“Around 99% of them collected the Covid relief and provisional packs. Those who are yet to receive the Covid-19 relief can collect from ration shops before July 31,” the release said.
The eligible people can receive the relief with the permission of the district supply officer from August 1.
